The Briefing Room
A private group engaging in live, small-group conversations about the Middle East
with Karim Sadjadpour
50 participants. Application-based. Participants are selected.
The Middle East is one of the most closely followed and widely discussed regions in the world.
And yet, most people experience it at a distance, through headlines, commentary, and secondhand interpretation.
This is different.
A small group in direct conversation with someone who has spent decades studying the region. A chance to ask questions and understand what actually matters.
This is not media, content, or a show.
It is closer to a private seminar, a closed-door roundtable where a small group meets live over Zoom for a short series of moderated discussions.
This is not passive. Participants ask questions directly, and the direction of the conversation is shaped by the room.
There are no scripts or presentations, and nothing is recorded. The goal is a setting where thoughtful discussion can happen without the constraints of a public setting.
The structure
The group is limited to 50 participants and is application-based.
Participants meet for three live Zoom conversations over the course of six to eight weeks. Each session is moderated and shaped by participant questions.
Between sessions, members have access to a private forum for ongoing discussion with others in the group.
Membership fee: $595
Participation is limited. Once the group fills, it closes.
